Strategic Alignment
At the Center for Faithful Business (CFB), formerly the Center for Integrity in Business (CIB) is the belief that business matters to God. In Why Business Matters to God, author and former SPU Provost and SBGE Dean, Jeff Van Duzer, suggests that the two primary purposes of business are to provide goods and services that all may flourish, and to provide meaningful employment. When businesses do these things, they are fulfilling their purpose. How we do business is of great significance to God and the CIB explores what it looks like to work as God’s servants in the world of business.
Faith&Co is a series of documentaries developed to inspire this very work. Faith&Co is a bold, outwardly visible expression of SPU’s Core Theme of Vital Christian Identity and Purpose, according to which the University will '“serve as a leading theological voice and resource in Seattle and throughout the Pacific Northwest…, embodying SPU’s commitment to Christian identity and human flourishing trough cross-disciplinary and co-curricular discussion on local, national, and global issues.”
Faith&Co
Faith&Co’s goal is to use inspiring films about the struggles and triumphs of real people to provoke questions and provide insights about what it means to act as faithful followers of Christ in business and civil society. As an Executive Advisory Board, its support aligns with SBGE’s mission and establishes SBGE as a hub of Research, Innovation and Thought Leadership.
