EAB Initiative #1

PRME & SDG’s

Strategic Alignment

The United Nations’ PRME initiative is in clear alignment with SPU’s institutional vision to promote service, leadership, holistic growth, and vocational preparation in the context of global engagement and human flourishing.

This initiative also aligns with SBGE’s Mission to '“develop leaders who advance human flourishing through service in business, government, and civil society”; with SBGE’s Values of Service, Holistic Thinking, and Hope; and with SBGE’s Strategic Objective of Research, Innovation, and Thought Leadership

EAB Opportunity

As an Executive Advisory Board, our goal is to partner with faculty to evaluate, enhance, and envision SBGE’s important work as a PRME Champion. Currently, SBGE has integrated the teaching the SDG’s into 33 class curriculums. At least one SDG is required for each entry in the Social Venture Plan Competition held each spring at SPU. In our business and civic community, SDGs have become mainstream and are a significant part of trends moving forward. As members of these communities we can contribute to the funding and education of SBGE students to impact not only their education but the cities in which we live. We can be part of the conversation that shares best practices between high-profile Seattle companies and non profits who are doing significant work in this area.
